| A lot of people dont think the CAI (Cold Air Intake) is better then short ram.
You see, when its winter time..CAI is a LOT better than short ram due to the fact that it pulls in cold air from the bottom and it increases performance. Down fall it that you can suck up rain which will kill your engine, but you can get what is called a "bypass valve" which will filter out the water and you will be safe!! HOWEVER, come summer time, it wont matter much...your sucking in hot air all around...and thats where it dosent matter if you have CAI or short ram. BUT...if its cooler at night, it will help just a little.
hope this helps out people that dont really understand CAI vs short ram!!! | |

| short ram gives you a little more Low end power. CAI gives you a little more high end power. Even though its hot during the summer months if you have a CAI the air it sucks up will be cooler than the engine bay air the short ram would suck up. If you have a Short ram intake and want to bring in some colder air in for it you can pick up Dryer duct hose from home depot run it from the back of the front bumper to the filter on the short ram. I have a SRI and love it but also might get a CAI for the days I would goto the track. sorry for my rambling I hope some of this made some since ha | |
