Shooky you should be fine eaither way with your Dart but when driving an import cops will pull you over and if they pop your hood and send you to a state reff you are f*cked even if everything is stock on your car

Trust me...they will find another way...they always do. If this isnt a scam...they will find another way!

its not a scam the state just cant afford to keep the state reff open for now but yeah I know it wont last that long but you never know

Yea, I dont know. I would sak him whats the point, theres nothing they can really do but give me a fix it ticket now. Cus thats what it comes down to is just a plain old fasion fix it ticket.

In LA and Riverside county..they made a law that any fixed up imports can get pulled over and asked to pop their hoods to find out any "illegal" modifications. If the police find out that the person has the mods, they will have the person go to a California State referee and have them test the car to to see if the car "passes smog emissions". If it doesnt pass, they will fail your car and issue a fix it ticket and slap you with a $800 fine...no ands,ifs,or,buts. They can also impound your car if it its heavily modified and you have to pay an extra $700 to get it out.

So you can see that what the terminator did for us imports!! He terminated the state ref and gave us a fighting chance. Now I have some love for the man. But I hope this will last for a long time.

Your Dart is in the clear though. Anything over 10 years dosent need to be smoged!! Aucra....well...for now, you are safe!!

This also means that aftermarket turbos are now "legal"!!!!!

But i thought it was more than 10 years...i could be wrong though

im pretty sure with out the state reff around we can not be givin fix it tickets for mods cause there is no one check out the cars that would be qualified since im sure they were laid off when he signed this

Untrue. The police still have hand books showing them whats stock and whats not. Its been verified that they have such handbooks on them. They can issue you a fix it ticket, but thats all now. Unless the refs come back...then we are screwed.

They stopped the "rolling 25 year no more smog law" After '76 or something(not 100% sure of the year, but its 76-80something). Kinda retarded but oh well. You barely passed Nate.
