Can u FEEL the power?

soooo....
i forked out $300 for a new Lipo (lithium) battery set up....


i reprogrammed the esc to be able to handle the new batteries...


and i picked up my truck with a fully charged battery and pulled the trigger to ballon the tires
and it went crazy and then all of a sudden came to an abrupt stop!
opened up the motor and noticed the magnets where broken...
due to the batteries pushing the motor past its rpm limit




ive got a back up motor that should be able to handle the rpms
but
i dont have the correct pinion (gear) for it to mesh correctly with the diff on the truck
so ive got to order them
then i can unleash the rape
hehehe

WOW!!!! Dang Richy!!! I thought you knew that would happen....LOL!!!! Glad you have a back up, but make sure the motor can take that much power!! Did you notice any smoke or bad smell when it happened? Just in case i someone does that and they dont know whats going on.

the shaft that goes throuth the motor wouldnt move at all, the whole driveline was stuck and the tires wouldnt spin at all.

i had a thought that it would happen lol
that motor came with the truck for free so i thought id see if it could handle it
its a really cheap motor, worth like $30 or so lol
im getting a new one as soon as i get some cash, its called a medusa motor
should get me up to about 43mph no problem, 30 minute run times, and should run really cold! which is good!

unless you get some lipo i doubt your going to break any magnets lol
